Requirements to register for this level: Must be able to swim width of pool using beginner stroke without assistance or flotation, float on front and back without assistance, kicking and finning on back without assistance. Class is taught in deep water.Children build endurance and learn to tread water. Students concentrate on stroke efficiency for front crawl and backstroke. Elementary backstroke and rotary breathing is introduced. For completion, student must swim one width of pool front crawl and backstroke using proper breathing and arm movements and pass deep end test. Promoted to Advanced Beginner.

Requirements to register for this level: Must be able to swim width of pool using beginner stroke without assistance or flotation, float on front and back without assistance, kicking and finning on back without assistance. Class is taught in deep water.Children build endurance and learn to tread water. Students concentrate on stroke efficiency for front crawl and backstroke. Elementary backstroke and rotary breathing is introduced. For completion, student must swim one width of pool front crawl and backstroke using proper breathing and arm movements and pass deep end test. Promoted to Advanced Beginner.

Elementary backstroke and rotary breathing is introduced. The Kid's Korner program is a before and after school program located at the Skehan Recreation Center for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. It encompasses a variety of activities from homework time to arts and crafts, games, outdoor play and themed activities. This is an active recreation program and participation in all group activities is expected. Children will be bussed to and from school for this program.Please note times for programs:AM session: 7am-8:30am (all children must be dropped off by 8am)(30 spots)PM session: 3-5:30pm (30 spots)PK students must be attending PK at the McGraw School to be eligible.Registration for the Kid's Korner program is intended to be for the full school year. American Red Cross Blended Lifeguarding Certification - Lifeguard Training
American Red Cross lifeguard training certification provides entry-level lifeguard participant's with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.Blended learning combines online learning with in-person skills sessions where you will practice skills and demonstrate competency. Please plan to complete all eLearning modules, at least two days prior to your first in-person skills session. Most participants complete the eLearning portion of the course in approximately 7 hours. Your experience may vary widely based on several factors including you PC, internet speed and previous training. I recommend beginning the online session as soon as possible to ensure that you are able to complete all eLearning modules prior to the first in-person skill session. DO NOT USE CELL PHONE TO COMPLETE E-LEARNING USE A COMPUTER.It is imperative you provide a current email address when registering.
