The Town of Hampden Recreation Department is pleased to provide this program for students enrolled in the McGraw and Weatherbee Schools in Hampden. The Kid's Korner program is a before and after school program located at the Skehan Recreation Center for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. It encompasses a variety of activities from homework time to arts and crafts, games, outdoor play and themed activities. This is an active recreation program and participation in all group activities is expected. Fundamentals of Softball - 5:30-6:30pmThis clinic will focus on the basic mechanics of softball. Will break down the basic mechanics of throwing and work on strengthening to help care for your arm. Well also work in fielding mechanics with proper glove work and footwork. Then we'll work on some hitting mechanics to improve power and consistency.Pitching Basics - 6:30-7:30pmThis clinic is meant for girls that are just starting to learn pitching or want to start learning. This clinic will focus on the basic form of pitching, starting from the ground up.
